Over de functie
Voor een toonaangevend Center of Excellence (CoE) in Amsterdam zijn wij op zoek naar een Senior AI/ML Engineer met uitgebreide hands-on ervaring in het ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en optimaliseren van data pipelines, ML models en AI-driven solutions. Je speelt een cruciale rol in het implementeren en onderhouden van scalable ML en AI engineering frameworks die enterprise-grade applications ondersteunen.
Als Senior AI/ML Engineer ben je een technical expert binnen het Center of Excellence, verantwoordelijk voor het end-to-end development lifecycle van ML/AI solutions. Je ontwerpt en implementeert robust data pipelines, bouwt en deploy machine learning models at scale, en ontwikkelt AI-driven solutions voor predictive analytics en automation.
Verantwoordelijkheden:
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development:
- Ontwerpen en implementeren van robust data pipelines voor structured en unstructured data
- Bouwen van scalable ETL/ELT workflows voor data ingestion en transformation
- Expertise in ETL processes, data modeling en data warehousing
- Strong knowledge van SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) en NoSQL (MongoDB, CosmosDB, Redis)
Machine Learning Engineering:
- Building, training en deploying ML models at scale
- Developing ML solutions using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
- Implementing MLOps workflows voor continuous training en deployment
- Managing model versioning, experimentation met MLflow
- Deploying models via Azure Machine Learning en Databricks
- Hyperparameter tuning en model optimization
AI Engineering & Generative AI:
- Developing AI-driven solutions voor predictive analytics en automation
- Hands-on experience met GenAI tools en frameworks (GPT, LLMs, VAE, GANs)
- Implementing prompt engineering strategies voor LLM optimization
- Building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Fine-tuning pre-trained models voor specific use cases
- Implementing NLP, computer vision en recommendation systems
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps:
- Familiarity met cloud infrastructure setup (Azure preferred)
- Deploying ML models op Azure Machine Learning
- Working with Azure Databricks voor MLOps orchestration
- Knowledge van containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) voor ML/AI workloads
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines voor data en ML solutions
Collaboration & Governance:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams om high-quality data-driven solutions te leveren
- Ensuring compliance with best practices voor data governance en security
- Providing technical leadership binnen CoE
- Mentoring junior data scientists en ML engineers

Must-have:
Experience & Domain Knowledge:
- 8-10 jaar experience in Data Analytics domain
- Proven track record in designing en deploying enterprise-grade ML/AI solutions
- GenAI/ML Expert level knowledge
- Platform Knowledge: Intermediate level
Data Engineering:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines voor structured en unstructured data
- Expertise in ETL processes, data modeling en data warehousing
- Strong knowledge van SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) en NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB, Redis)
- Experience met data quality frameworks en data validation
- Feature engineering en feature store architectures
Machine Learning Engineering:
- Build, train en deploy ML models at scale

- Ability to optimize models voor performance en accuracy
- Understanding van MLOps practices en model lifecycle management
- Implementing supervised, unsupervised en reinforcement learning algorithms
AI Engineering:
- Develop AI-driven solutions voor predictive analytics en automation
- Hands-on experience met GenAI tools en frameworks (GPT, LLMs, VAE, GANs)
- Implement AI algorithms voor NLP, computer vision of recommendation systems
- Experience met prompt engineering en LLM fine-tuning
- Building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines

Ideale Kandidaat:
Je bent een passionate AI/ML Engineer met 8+ jaar proven experience in de Data Analytics domain en deep expertise in building production-grade ML/AI solutions.
